RELX Accessory Review

The device charges through a Type-C port that’s placed at the bottom of the battery. In addition, I was also sent two charging cases for the Infinity, one with a 1000 mAh capacity and another with 1500 mAh capacity. These have a 1-amp output, which is also the rate on which the Infinity charges through a wall charger. It took my Infinity around 45 minutes to fully charge through my 2-amp charger, and I expect a similar charging time from the cases.

RELX claims that the battery lasts for 500-650 puffs. I can’t test the validity of this number, but I can ensure you that it does last for long. I got around half a pod on a charge, but these are 1.9 mL pods and you’d be hard pressed to go through half a 5% pod within a day.

The dotted LED light on the front of the device will flash slowly when the device is charging and will stay lit when it is fully charged. The light will also light up white when you are using the device and will flash slowly red when the charge is low. A red light flashing 10 times means that your device is out of charge. The battery indication system is easy to grasp, but the red light appears a bit too late in my opinion. A third color in between white and red would have been nice to have.

Now let’s talk about what RELX calls the “dual-charging system”. There are two charging cases currently available (1000 and 1500 mAh,) and they charge the battery through the pogo pins that are at the sides of the USB port. The cases are very well-made and feature semi-transparent lids that allow the LED light to be visible from the outside. Note that you can remove the battery out of the cases by lightly pushing it at the bottom and sliding it upwards. The larger case is just 12 grams heavier than the smaller one (74 vs 62 grams) and while almost twice as wide, it is much thinner. I personally prefer using the large one because it fits easier in my pocket, but your mileage may vary.

All in all, the charging cases are an excellent idea, and I’d strongly recommend grabbing one of those if you can.

Slim Fit Charging Case – Click & Charge

It’s not often we see this type of accessory for pod mods but it’s a welcome addition.

With small devices comes smaller battery capacities so the option to ‘plug’ your pod into charge while it’s in your bag or pocket is great.

You just need to be sure the case is fully charged before you leave the house!

The charging case has a 1500mAh battery and looks great. Rounded edges and a black transparent flip lid enable you to see the battery indicator light status without opening up.

The pod mod just slides in and connects to the pogo pin. It is an additional purchase but an excellent addition to the kit.
